Do You Need to Write a Poshmark Thank You Note?

We ALL want to provide the best customer service when it comes to our Poshmark business. Writing a Poshmark thank you note is one of the ways to let your buyers know you care.

But how important is it really? And as your business grows, is it worth the time handwriting all of those cards?

I will say this first, you can get a 5 star rating without a thank you note. You can also NOT get a 5 star rating with a thank you note. 

Does it help to get 5 star ratings? Absolutely. 

It ultimately comes down to a personal decision, but here are some reasons you may want to write a Poshmark thank you note:

1. You Are Just Starting Off

If you are just starting off, you are not going to have as many Love Notes from buyers. Gaining more Love Notes is a great way to show others that you are a reputable seller. A lot of buyers will go into Love Notes to see what other's have said about your closet. The better they are, they more they can feel that they trust you!

Writing a Poshmark thank you card is a great way to expedite how many Love Notes you have. More common than not, people do not leave love notes on a regular sale. However, if you do send a thank you card, you are much more likely to receive a Love Note.

2. Your Sales Volume is Low

If you only have a couple sales a day or every few days, then it doesn't take much time to write a couple Poshmark thank you notes anyways. It really does mean a lot to buyers when they receive this thanks and are more likely to receive a return buyer. You can even encourage them to visit your closet again by offering a special discount on their next order.

3. You Make a High Price Sale

When someone spend a couple hundreds of dollars on your closet, they deserve a little extra thanks at that point. I normally do not write Poshmark thank you notes in my business, but I will if someone spends $200+. They may have even been saving up for your item, so it will make them feel extra good about the purchase when you show them how much you appreciate it. 

If you do decide you want to include Poshmark thank you notes, I would recommend writing them in bulk. You can write the same message on all and when the time comes to add it to your package, you can make it personal by writing the buyers name above the message. 

For high priced orders, you can make those extra personal by writing a detailed message specifying the item they bought. These may not happen as much for you, so it will not take more of your time.

You may decide you make too many sales in a week to write thank you cards, or it is something you are willing to delete from your process to increase efficiency. Know that is perfectly ok! I do not write thank you cards for each order, rather, I include a business card that shows appreciation.
